Capital City Prayer
In 2010 a global strategy of prayer focused on CAPITAL CITIES was launched. The aim is to encourage already existing Aglow groups to establish a group of intercessors who have the heart and the call to pray for the capital cities of their nations. The primary focus is that these intercessors will have regular prayer meetings to pray for the leaders and the governmental authorities in the nation. The Apostle Paul proclaimed that, “…supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made… for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:1, 2).
As a nation we held a day of prayer in the 3 capital cities of Great Britain – London, Edinburgh and Cardiff on Saturday 12th February 2011. It was a fantastic day of powerful, effective strategic prayer and declaration for our nation... God is on the move! Men, women and children came and joined together, and the impact of the day was massive for the individual, for each city, and for our nation!
