EVANGELISM

51% of our world’s population are women. They share the same needs, dreams and concerns that are unique to women. Many from the lady next door to the women across the world, may live in personal circumstances or cultures that make faith and hope difficult. Without help they may never discover God’s love for them.

In Aglow we care about helping today’s women draw close to God, to find life and hope in Him.

Evangelism is the very heartbeat of Aglow. We have a full gospel vision, always seeking to bring women, through friendship, from different cultural backgrounds and life experiences, to hear the life-transforming gospel of Jesus Christ.

Meeting for food, worship, sharing testimonies at monthly Aglow meetings in over 140 locations in the nation, many women are coming into a living relationship with Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord. Women are also encouraged, discipled and mentored within our bible studies, prayer meetings and Conferences.

We have many testimonies of lives that have been touched and changed by Jesus. Roberta is one of them …

When the Lord touches our lives, He also touches and changes our communities as you will read...

Many young women in our nation have never had a positive role model to emulate, for parenting their children. Aglow bridges this gap in several communities, by providing M.O.P.S groups (Mothers of pre-schoolers) Mums meeting together with their children and Aglow women who are there to listen, support and provide wise counsel. Fun days, day trips, special outings are organized for the Mums and children.

Another service provided to the community is our Prison Ministry.

Teams of Aglow women across the nation regularly visit women in prison, bringing hope, support, friendship and unconditional love.

There are many needs in prison and one such prisoner who was about to be released was delighted to receive from Aglow, new clothes and a suitcase to carry home her few belongings.

She was so thrilled  “You have been like a family to me" she said, "When I go home I’ll be helping others like you have helped me."

Relationships and trust have also been built up between Prison Officers and Aglow women, who have prayed for them on their regular visits to prison.

Prisons are waiting harvest fields.

Aglow’s mission is to bring women to Jesus, to see them fully restored, as God intended from the beginning, walking in the plans and purposes that He has planned and ordained for them.
